Porsche 936C Joest New Man 4° DRM Norisring 1983
Raceland Gold Edition made by Spark. Exclusive model.
After the spectacular battles of the Group 5 years the German championship DRM was run after the international Group C sports car regulations from 1982. In the second year of the new era only few teams already were in command of the new weapon Porsche 956 so the Nuremberg's street circuit Norisring saw a large variety of Group C and Gr. 6 cars early in July of 1983. Team Joest had brought a brand new Porsche 956 in New Man livery for Volkert Merl and their unique 936C in similar colors for Swede Stefan Johansson who had just made it to Formula 1 with Spirit-Honda. Johansson finished a strong 4th and gave this Joest chassis #JR005 a late success before the 956 became the nearly invincible Group C car for years.
