Once a year, the Eifel becomes the beating heart of motorsport. For one extraordinary weekend, the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring transforms the Green Hell into a festival of speed, endurance, campsite magic and pure passion. With 352,000 spectators, 161 cars and 584 drivers, the 54th edition was a spectacle on an immense scale, played out on the longest and arguably most fascinating race circuit in the world.
And the race delivered everything its setting promised. After a dramatic qualifying session, the #80 Mercedes-AMG Team RAVENOL entry from Winward Racing started from just 25th on the grid – then fought its way all the way to the front. After 24 hours, Maro Engel, Luca Stolz, Fabian Schiller and Maxime Martin stood as winners, returning Mercedes-AMG to the top step after a decade away.
Weeks later, the final classification changed again when the Red Bull Team ABT Lamborghini, originally second, was disqualified. Walkenhorst Motorsport with Aston Martin and ROWE Racing with BMW were promoted to second and third.
Yet for much of the race, the story seemed to be heading in a very different direction. The sister Mercedes-AMG, driven by Max Verstappen, Lucas Auer, Jules Gounon and Daniel Juncadella, led the field for hours before a technical failure brought its victory hopes to a sudden end. While 41 GT3 cars fought for overall honours at the front, the stories that make this 24-hour race so special unfolded behind them: famous names, small teams, sleepless nights, improvised repairs, close duels and moments no one could ever script. Even a BMW M3 Touring wrote its own remarkable chapter among the frontrunners, finishing fourth overall.
The official yearbook brings this exceptional race weekend back to life, with gripping stories from every class, striking photography, impressions from the support programme and an extensive statistics section. It captures the great moments, the smaller stories and the people behind them – everything that makes this race what it is.
