Raceland Gold Edition made by Spark. Exclusive model.

An heir to the DuPont family - the American chemical giant - Brett Lunger started racing just for fun in the United States. He left Princeton University to fight in an elite unit in Vietnam in 1969 and 1970. His first appearance in Formula 1 came in 1975 in an outclassed Hesketh alongside James Hunt. For his first full F1 season 1976 he signed a contract with John Surtees, supported by tobacco company Chesterfield. After tobacco advertising was banned at the 1976 German Grand Prix, the Italian brand Campari stepped in at short notice to sponsor Lunger’s Surtees TS19 for this race only.

Everything has already been written about Niki Lauda's fire accident on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring in 1976. The first responders who ultimately saved the Austrian's life were always somewhat overshadowed. Brett Lunger was unable to avoid the destroyed Ferrari 312T2 in the Green Hell Bergwerk track section and pushed the fireball even a little further. The attempts by one of the marshals to extinguish the fire were hopeless and it took the courageous efforts of Arturo Merzario, Harald Ertl, Guy Edwards and Brett Lunger to pull the unconscious Austrian out of the inferno.
