Raceland Gold Edition made by Spark. Exclusive model.
Swiss Walter Brun had great expectations for the 1986 World Sports-Prototype Championship. For his ambitious goal he acquired two brand new962C Group C cars from the Porsche factory - chassis numbers 117 and 115. In Memorex colors 962.115 had its debut at the Nürburgring Supercup race in April driven by Frank Jelinski. Redesigned in Fortuna livery for the Le Mans 24 Hours early inJune the car finished a sensational 2nd with Oscar Larrauri, Jésus Pareja and Joel Gouhier only beaten by the works Rothmans Porsche of Stuck, Bell and Holbert.
Just four weeks later the car was back in Memorex outfit for the Norisring race. Shortened to a 100 mile distance the traditional 200 Miles of Nuremberg for the first time were part of the WSPC in 1986. After years with Günter Gebhardt's C2 cars young German Frank Jelinski had proceeded to Group C1 and made big impression on the world's sportscar elite. Finishing 4th behind a Blaupunkt Porsche and two works Jaguar XJR-6 was a top result for Jelinski and an essential contribution to Walter Brun's team WSPC title in 1986.
