Everybody who has attended the 2020 Nürburgring 24 Hours will have noted the red and white AMG Mercedes GT3 of GetSpeed J2 Racing. The large red rooster of main sponsor Rooster Rojo Tequila was unmissable on both sides of the GT3 ProAm car. At home in Mexico the red rooster is considered the king of roosters. Naming the two drivers next to established GT3 regulars Markus Palttala and Maxime Soulet crazy chicken is no impudence but rather a compliment in the red rooster context if you look at the passions of Janine Shoffner and her 65-year-old husband with speed and extremes in the centre of it all.

Both pre-names lead to the abbreviation J2 Racing and with Janine the successful US entrepreneur has obviously found the right partner who shares his activities as an airshow pilot, skydiver, cycling racer and fitness fanatic. Both of them are Green Hell addicts and their performance in 2020 was remarkable. Finishing 17th overall the red rooster made it to the podium of the hard-fought SP9 ProAm class. It was a surprise to see Janine race the Nürburgring 24H in 2021 without John. His excuse: he was preparing a job as a mission pilot for an Axiom Space Ax-2 flight to the International Space Station ISS in 2022.
