Raceland Gold Edition made by Spark. Exclusive model.
At the end of the 1960s there were still quite a few all-rounders of the calibre of Graham Hill, Jochen Rindt and Jo Bonnier who competed successfully in different racing classes. Nevertheless, from today's perspective, it is impossible to imagine the programme that Jo Siffert unwound in the 1969 season: successful in Formula 1 in the Rob Walker Lotus 49B, six race wins in the World Sports Car Championship for Porsche, Can Am in the new Porsche 917 in the US and Japan and front runner with the Lola-BMW in the European F2 Championship.
Lola had designed the T102 Formula 2 exclusively for BMW in 1968 and the Munich-based company made a big impression with its four-cylinder engine early in 1969. Hubert Hahne had finished second at Hockenheim and for the European Championship race at the Nürburgring, the official BMW F2 works team had fitted the car with a sophisticated rear wing suspension. The delicate construction survived the gruelling Nordschleife and the Swiss jack-of-all-trades finished second behind Jackie Stewart in the Matra MS7 Cosworth.
