Raceland Gold Edition made by Spark. Exclusive model.

For many years Oscar Larrauri had been part of Walter Brun's successful Group C Racing Team in the World Sportscar Championship. Maybe this loyalty gave him the serenity to accept only eight Grand Prix participations for Eurobrun F1 in 1988, finishing only twice but not qualifying for the other eight races. For the 1989 F1 season the Argentinian was replaced by Gregor Foitek but failing to qualify eleven times in a row the Swiss decided to leave for Rial. From Monza onwards Larrauri re-joined the team with the difficult challenge to pre-qualify either the ER188B or the ER189 for the race. But there was no realistic chance at the final three European rounds.

The remaining 2 overseas races in Japan and Australia were imminent and Walter Brun stood financially with his back to the wall. It was Japanese architect Yutaka Nanikawa, a true motorsports afficionado and former supporter of Walter Brun in Group C times, who took over the costs with his brand Alpha to enable the team to attend the Japanese Grand Prix at all. The Eurobrun ER189 Judd was re-painted in black and - decorated in Alpha livery - was ready for pre-qualifying at Suzuka on Friday. But again this merciless pre-selection procedure was a failure for Oscar Larrauri and together with eight more drivers he was rated not pre-qualified.
