Raceland Gold Edition made by Spark. Exclusive model.

The Easter weekend early in April of 1972 saw the first round of the Interseries at the Nürburgring. While practice and qualifying with the mighty CanAm cars were run in dry conditions on the demanding 23 kilometres of the Nordschleife heavy rain affected both races. At this first round all cars still had normally aspirated engines but it needed undaunted professional racers to hold the up to 8.2 litre V8 high torque monsters on the soaking wet Green Hell track.

Willy Kauhsen and Leo Kinnunen in their Porsche 917/10s occupied the first row after the dry qualifying sessions. But it was Howden Ganley with the 7.6 litre BRM P167 V8 who took the lead early in both heats. The New Zealander who also raced the BRM P160 in Formula 1 that year seemed to fly over the slippery Nürburgring to win both heats a full minute ahead of Willy Kauhsen's Porsche. Thus this weekend became a pinnacle in the sports car history of the Lincolnshire team.
