The lost treasure
When it came onto the market in 1973, the BMW 2002 Turbo was poaching in the top league of sports cars with its
170 hp. The total of just 1,672 Turbos built were offered almost exclusively in chamonix white and polaris silver. However, chassis no. 4291334 was painted in verona red at the factory for German BMW dealer Bamo at Neu-Ulm
as a one-off and delivered there on October 10, 1974.
For a long time, this unique car was considered lost until it reappeared under a layer of white paint during a restoration. Today, thoroughly restored and after extensive research at the Munich factory, this treasure shines again in its original red livery.
